BJP has now started attacking to Congress leaders for Protest against NEET paper leak, they are also slamming them for their ‘double standard’ for the states ruled by BJP and states ruled by Congress. The criticism started after CJP asked the government to drop cases against the protestors all over India. BJP leaders accuse Congress, including Rahul Gandhi, of double standards regarding NEET paper leak protests, questioning why they demand action in BJP states but ignore cases filed against nearly 5000 protestors in Kerala.

BJP Alleges Double Standards Over Student Protests

Now BJP It Cell Chief Amit Malviya has claimed that Kerala Police has registered almost cases against 100 people, including rapper Vedan, for the protest and gathering. According to police, the protest at Panampilly Nagar in Kochi was organised without any prior information and permission from the police. Which led to case registered against the protestors and the investigation is going on.

In a post on X, Malviya said, “Strangely, neither the self-proclaimed “student movement” seems to care. Their outrage appears to be reserved only for BJP/NDA-ruled states and now the Supreme Court too, exposing the hollowness of their claim of being “non-political.”

Kerala Police have booked nearly 100 people, including rapper Vedan, for participating in a gathering in support of CJP.

He also targeted Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for their selective and double standards.

“And what about Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra? Their hypocrisy is telling. Student issues matter to them only when they can be weaponised for political gain. When similar action takes place in a Congress-ruled state, they simply look the other way. If the concern were genuinely about students, the standards would be the same everywhere, not determined by who is in power,” he said.

Shehzad Poonawalla Targets Congress

Even BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla slammed Congress and their ‘double standard’ over police action against protestors.

“The Congress has double standards, just like an elephant’s teeth-one set for show and another for eating,” Poonawalla said.

He also mentioned that while many states have already dropped the cases against the protestors, nearly 5000 people have been booked in Kerala only. He questioned why Congress asked for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation when their own states are suffering from paper leak, will they ask for the same.

Opposition in Kerala Seeks Withdrawal of Cases

Now the opposition party and leaders in Kerala are also questioning the withdrawal of cases against protestors. Kerala Opposition Leader, Pinarayi Vijayan has written to CM VD Satheesan asking for unconditional withdrawal of cases filed against protestors.

In the letter to CM, Vijayan wrote, students, youth groups, cultural activists and members of the public had joined protest peacefully to support the nationwide protest. He also said that almost 5000 people across Kerala had been booked over the protest by Police.
