Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies – Technical Campus (VIPS-TC) recently witnessed one of its most vibrant and engaging student-driven initiatives through the successful organisation of the VIPS Clickathon, a unique digital talent and content creation festival that provided nearly 12,000 students with an opportunity to showcase their ability to create, communicate, and build a social media brand space.
The event brought together students and faculty members from eight different departments, ranging from Engineering, Law, Economics, and Journalism to Management and allied disciplines. Participants competed across multiple creative categories including singing, vlogging, and content creation, demonstrating not only their talent but also their understanding of digital storytelling and audience engagement in today’s media-driven world.
VIPS-TC organized the VIPS Clickathon, a digital talent festival engaging nearly 12,000 students from eight departments across March and April to showcase content creation and social media branding abilities, recognizing 75 top students.
Conducted in multiple rounds throughout March and April, the Clickathon transformed the campus atmosphere into a dynamic hub of creativity and collaboration. From Instagram reels to Facebook engagement campaigns, the event remained highly active across social media platforms, reflecting the enthusiasm and participation of the student community.
Speaking about the initiative, Prof. Sidharth Mishra, Media Advisor at VIPS, said, “The VIPS Clickathon was envisioned as a platform by institute founder Dr SC Vats, and co-founder Suneet Vats, where students could explore their creative potential beyond classrooms. The overwhelming participation and energy displayed by students and faculty alike reflect the spirit of innovation and expression that VIPS stands for.”
The event also offered students hands-on exposure to planning, branding, execution, coordination, and digital outreach. Atharva, a student coordinator from the Journalism department, described the experience as “a form of real industry exposure where students learned how large-scale digital campaigns and events are conceptualised and executed professionally.”
True to the vision of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy of “man-making education,” the Clickathon became more than just a competition; it emerged as a platform for confidence-building, leadership, creativity, and teamwork. After a rigorous three-round selection process involving 465 shortlisted contestants, 75 students from across departments were recognised as the Top VIPS Clickathon Stars.
