Speaking exclusively to OneIndia, he voiced support for the demonstrators’ demand for accountability and said citizens must question those in power when concerns arise.
“Agar hum sarkaar se sawaal nahi karenge, unse accountability nahi maangege, toh phir kaun maangega? Humari bas ek hi maang hai aur samuhik maang hai ki Dharmendra Pradhan isteefa dein,” he said.

The man, who was distributing food and water from his own earnings, said he was supporting the protesters because he believed in democratic participation and public accountability.
His gesture was appreciated by many at the site and became a symbol of communal harmony amid the agitation. Several protesters pointed out that his actions reflected the spirit of unity beyond religious identities.
The scene also reinforced the message often associated with India’s pluralistic culture-that people can come together for a common cause regardless of faith or background. Many supporters described it as a powerful example of solidarity, compassion and shared citizenship.
Protest Continues Despite Lack of Permission
Speaking to reporters on Sunday, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said the protest was a democratic exercise and insisted that citizens have the right to peacefully raise their concerns.
“We will sit here. If not Jantar Mantar, give us another location. Protest is our democratic right,” Dipke said while addressing supporters at the site.
Throughout the protest, demonstrators continued raising slogans such as “Go Pradhan Go” and “Dharmendra Pradhan Esteefa Do,” demanding accountability over alleged examination-related issues.
The gathering remained peaceful as supporters sat through the night and continued their protest into Sunday.
Local Resident Distributes Free Water and Food
Amid the ongoing protest, a local Muslim resident drew attention after voluntarily distributing drinking water and food to protesters at Jantar Mantar.
Speaking exclusively to OneIndia, he said citizens must question those in power and seek accountability when concerns arise.
He stated that the demand for accountability was not limited to any one individual but reflected the collective concerns of many people.
The gesture was appreciated by several protesters, who saw it as an example of communal harmony and public solidarity beyond religious or social identities.
Many participants said the act reflected the spirit of unity, with people coming together to support those exercising their democratic right to protest.
Sonam Wangchuk Warns of Hunger Strike
The protest also received support from climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, who had joined the demonstration on Saturday.
Wangchuk warned that he would begin a hunger strike on June 27 if no action was taken regarding the protesters’ demands and if the Education Minister did not step down.
His announcement added further attention to the protest, which has been gaining traction on social media and among student groups.
Dipke’s ‘Jhalmuri’ Remark Goes Viral
On Sunday morning, a lighter moment emerged from the protest site when a supporter brought jhalmuri for Dipke.
While eating the snack, Dipke made a humorous remark referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Let’s eat jhalmuri, we’ll get energy like Modi.”
A video of the moment was later shared by CJP on social media and quickly circulated among supporters.
