Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday asked officials to finish final approvals and budget allotments for approved PWD works in Bareilly division by July 15. The move aimed to allow foundation-laying events for roads, bridges, and other development works from August 15, according to a government statement.

The instructions were issued during a review of nearly 2,200 proposals sent by public representatives from the Bareilly division. Adityanath said work should move fast once money is released. The government statement said foundation-laying ceremonies should start by August 15 after budgets are approved.
PWD projects in Bareilly division set July 15 deadline
The Uttar Pradesh government said the focus remained on getting clearances and funds in place before the deadline. Officials were told to ensure every approved PWD project in the division reached the final stage by July 15. The plan was linked to holding foundation-laying ceremonies on August 15 for multiple infrastructure projects.
After the review meeting, Adityanath also flagged off new sanitation vehicles bought by the Municipal Corporation. The flag-off took place from the Circuit House premises. The fleet included 60 advanced vehicles and machines. The purchase was presented as part of steps to improve cleaning and waste handling in the city.
Sanitation vehicles in Bareilly division include robotic sewer machines
The 60-vehicle fleet included six robotic manhole sewer cleaning machines, two skid loaders, 50 CNG auto tippers, and two backhoe loaders. Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Maurya said the CNG auto tippers would collect household waste in four separate streams. The categories were wet, dry, special care, and sanitary wastes.
Maurya said the robotic machines can clean sewers in a 360-degree manner. The process does not require any person to enter the sewer. Maurya added that skid loaders and backhoe loaders would support desilting of drains. The machines would also help strengthen solid waste management operations.
Mobile eye care van in Bareilly division launched with new services
Adityanath also inaugurated a mobile eye care van run by Deep Charitable Trust, Bareilly. The Uttar Pradesh government statement said the van would help reach people living in remote areas. The launch came alongside the sanitation flag-off and the PWD review, which both focused on planned public services and works.
