The policemen who are for safety of citizens, what if they frame you in a false case? Threaten you. Arrest you for no reason. You have to undergo the legal process and it might spoil your career and even leave a black spot on your life. A similar incident came to light after a viral video of a policeman went viral, who allegedly detained some students in PCR van and asked them not to participate in protest.
The viral video fueled anger in students for police, as they are already facing off each other at several locations including Shivaji Park, Chembur, and Azad Maidan. The video was also shared by Mumbai Congress on their X (Twitter) handle, triggering fresh controversy over how brutally Mumbai Police is handling students and beating them.
Following a viral video where a Mumbai policeman allegedly threatened students with fake drug charges to deter them from protesting, Mumbai Police initiated an inquiry and removed the officer from his current posting.

The protesters are raising their voice under the banner of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).
In the video, a policeman can be seen threatening students with a false drug case if they turn up at the protests again.
“If you are seen again here, I will ruin your lives.” “I will put 50-50 grams of powder (drugs) in your bags and your life will be finished,” the policeman said in the viral video.

Hours after the video went viral and people started questioning the integrity, accountability and intentions of police, senior Mumbai police officials initiated an inquiry in the video.
The policeman has also been removed from his current protest site posting, and further action has been promised after the inquiry report.
