Congress MP and the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi attacked the Narendra Modi government over atrocities on protesting students across the country. Rahul Gandhi brought an injured student, Sahil, in front of the media and showed how badly he got injured during the pellet gun attack by the Delhi Police. All students have been protesting peacefully over the alleged NEET paper leak, and when Sahil was holding the national flag, police targeted him and shot him several times.

“I want to explain that my brother standing here was injured by a pellet gun while he was peacefully protesting, holding the Tricolour. The govt has said that no pellet gun was used. His eye has suffered damage, and he has lost his vision. Thousands of such youth were lathi-charged, and pellet guns were used against them. He gave an exam for police recruitment, but the paper was leaked…”

Rahul Gandhi accused the Modi government of atrocities against NEET protesters, presenting student Sahil injured by Delhi Police pellet guns and demanding Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation and PM Modi’s apology.

Sahil showed multiple pallet gun injuries on his arm and also claimed that one pallet damaged his eye. He may also lose vision for life.

Rahul Gandhi’s press conference was to confront Delhi Police’s claim that no pellet gun was used on students. Puncturing Delhi Police’s false claim, several videos of social media are already going viral showing protesters sustained pellet gun injuries during the July 20 CJP march.

Rahul Gandhi also raised the voice of students and demanded the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan at the earliest. Action against Delhi Police officials who ordered lathi charge and pellet gun firing.

Lastly, Rahul Gandhi asked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as the head of the government, to apologise to lakhs of student protesters.

Rahul Gandhi called Dharmendra Pradhan a “symbol of a criminalised education system”, alleging deterioration of the country’s education system because of him.
