CM Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government is introducing a cashless healthcare system for advocates, CM Yogi Adityanath announced on Tuesday during one event at Gorakhpur. He said that the government will soon announce and develop an mechanism to provide better medical facilities to lawyers and it is an initiative to strength health sector good.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath announced the upcoming launch of a cashless healthcare system for advocates, alongside increasing the Advocate Welfare Fund to ₹5 lakh supported by a ₹500 crore corpus.
Cashless Healthcare Plan for Advocates
While addressing the newly elected office-bearers of Gorakhpur Bar Association, CM Yogi said that advocates are not limited to just arguing cases in the court but also legal advisers, they are like guardians of the Constitution and example of public trust. He also mentioned that the cashless treatment will help lawyers to get good healthcare without thinking of financial burden.
CM Highlights Lawyers’ Role in Justice System
CM of Uttar Pradesh also asked advocates to be more vigilant against the attempts of society divide driven fake social media accounts and misinformation based on the case, language, and region. He also said that the justice is only meaningful when it is timely, accessible and good quality, he mentioned that lawyers should play important role in implementing India’s new criminal laws.
CM Yogi also announced one welfare initiative for advocates, he said, that the Advocate Welfare Fund has been increased to 5 lakh rupees with a 500 crore rupees corpus. Already around 4,000 advocates have taken benefit of this Scheme worth 200 crore. Even the age limit of the financial aid has been increased to 70 years. He also said that new building and advocate chambers have been made across the state.
