Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav’s financial woes have continued as the Central Bank of India has initiated the auction process of two of his properties on Thursday to recover an outstanding loan.
The said properties belonging to the actor are located in Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
The Central Bank of India will auction two properties of Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav in Shahjahanpur, UP, on September 9, 2026, to recover a ₹16.61 crore loan taken in 2010 for his film ‘Ata Pata Laapata’. The combined reserve price for the properties is ₹3.19 crore.
The Hindi actor has an outstanding loan of ₹16.61 crore, the IANS reported. He had taken the loan in 2010 for the production of his directorial film ‘Ata Pata Laapata.’ The bank has pasted auction notices on the properites, which were reportedly mortgaged as security for the loan.
The properties, including a city-based property and a village house with land, have a combined reserve price of ₹3.19 crore. The e-auction is scheduled for September 9, 2026. The bank is also carrying out recovery proceedings related to his other assets, according to the report.
The properties belonging to Rajpal Yadav’s wife, Radha Yadav, and his mother, Godavari Yadav, had also been pledged as guarantees for the loan, NDTV reported. His Mumbai properites are also likely to be auctioned.

The actor is currently in judicial custody in a cheque bounce case.
The Delhi High Court upheld Yadav’s conviction in seven cheque bounce cases in July 2026, reducing his prison sentence from six to three months while ordering monetary penalties.
On the work front, the actor was seen in Welcome to the Jungle. His upcoming movies is: Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan, which has Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles.
