A senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz has been found dead outside a mosque in Islamabad. He collapsed just after eating at an unfamiliar restaurant and now his death is being in discussions a lot after LeT’s 30 terrorists have been claimed to be died by ‘unknown men’ over the past few years.
Senior Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz collapsed and died in Islamabad after eating at an unfamiliar restaurant, fueling discussions amid claims that ‘unknown men’ have killed over 30 LeT terrorists in Pakistan.
LeT Commander Dies In Islamabad
According to the reports, Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz reached Quba mosque to perform Namaz after having lunch at restaurant he was not familiar with. He collapsed before entering the mosque and died on the spot.
However, the exact cause of death has not immediately known and even no confirmation that his death was related to any specific targeted attack.
The reports suggest that Abdul Aziz was associated with a department that gives assistance to the families of Lashkar terrorists killed during the encounters in Jammu and Kashmir.
‘Unknown Men’ Claims Add To Suspicion
Interestingly, his death came at the time after recently, a senior LeT operative Rizwan Hanif claimed a ‘Dhurandhar’ type of mission claiming that more than 30 terrorists of this organisation have been killed by ‘unknown men’ in last three years.
Hanif also claimed that these incidents took place in the cities like Peshawar, Karachi and Rawalpindi, as well as Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. His statement was presented at the rare public appearance after confirming LeT about the death of its terrorists.
Lashkar-e-Taiba Mastermind Behind 2008 Mumbai Attack
Lashkar-e-Taiba is a Pakistan-based terrorist organisation sanctioned by United Nations since 2 May 2005 over it’s connection with Al-Qaeda and Taliban.
LeT was also responsible behind 26 November 2008 Mumbai Attack in which around 166 people were killed and hundreds were injured.
Now death of Abdul Aziz has now again raised the question is films like Dhurandhar are actually portraying what is happening with Pakistan terrorists with unknown men.
