Actor Ravi Kishan’s viral statement on podcast choosing “recognition” over “money” was adopted by the BJP for a Gen Z campaign promoting credibility, with Kishan later explaining reputation precedes wealth.

A short clip from the interview has now become widely shared online, with even the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) using the dialogue in a campaign aimed at younger audiences.

Money or Fame?

In the podcast, Raj Shamani asked the actor a simple but thought-provoking question: what would he choose between “pehchaan” (recognition) and “paisa” (money)?
Without hesitation, Ravi Kishan replied, “Pehchaan. Money follows, my brother!”

His confident response quickly gained popularity across social media platforms, with users sharing the clip widely and turning the dialogue into a trending catchphrase.

The campaign used his now-famous line to communicate the idea that credibility and reputation are more valuable than chasing wealth.

Ravi Kishan later reshared the BJP’s video on his official X account.
