Bihar is back under the controversy of scam, after Rohini Acharya – daughter of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav accused the state government of an alleged “dustbin scam”.

Dustbin Scam

Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, alleged a “dustbin scam” in Bihar, questioning the purchase of dustbins for ₹15,000 when their market cost is around ₹1,500. She directed her questions towards Bihar CM Samrat Chaudhary and minister Mangal Pandey regarding the alleged inflated expenditure.

Rohini raised the latest allegation through a social media post, questioning why dustbins reportedly costing around ₹1,500 were allegedly purchased for ₹15,000.

Rohini Acharya Questions Cost Of Dustbins

Rohini shared a picture of different dustbins and claimed that the Bihar government had purchase dustbins at much high prices than in the market. She wrote that even dustbins had become “VVIP” in Bihar. She alleged that a dustbin of Rs 1,500 was purchased for Rs 15,000.

Her post questioned how a dustbin could cost ten times its claimed price.
However, the allegations are political claims and have not been independently established in the information provided.

Rohini Questions Samrat Chaudhary And Mangal Pandey

Rohini directly questioned Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and state minister Mangal Pandey over the alleged purchase.

She asked what was behind the reported high price of the dustbins and questioned whether the expenditure represented a new way of using government funds.
Her post also carried the phrase “Dustbin Scam in Bihar” alongside photographs of dustbins.

Tejashwi Yadav Has Also Targeted Bihar Government

Rohini’s allegations come at a time when her brother Tejashwi Yadav has been attacking the Samrat Chaudhary government over alleged corruption and scams.

The latest dustbin allegation adds another issue to the list of claims being raised by the opposition against the state government.

The government has not been cited as having responded to Rohini’s specific allegation in the material provided.

Rohini Welcomed RJD’s Organisational Restructuring

Rohini Acharya has also recently spoken about changes within the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). After the party dissolved its organisational committees and cells across Bihar, Rohini welcomed the move and said such restructuring should have happened earlier.
She also advised Tejashwi Yadav on the formation of the new organisational structure.
Rohini said the new committees should give priority to senior leaders, dedicated party workers and supporters who have remained committed to Lalu Prasad Yadav and the party.

Political Activity Intensifies In Bihar

The latest controversy comes as political activity within Bihar continues to intensify.
With the opposition raising allegations over government spending and alleged irregularities, issues such as the reported dustbin purchases are expected to become part of the wider political debate.

For now, Rohini Acharya’s allegations remain claims from the opposition, and any official investigation or government clarification would be needed to establish whether there was actually a financial irregularity in the reported purchases.
