A 16-year-old Class 11 student from Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district was allegedly gang-raped inside a sleeper bus near Delhi’s Kashmiri Gate on August 4.
Police arrested driver Kuldeep and conductor Sandeep from Timarpur and the bus was seized for forensic examination.

The accused allegedly picked up the girl at Pari Chowk and later abandoned her near Kashmiri Gate, the IANS quoted the Delhi Police as stating.
The girl was travelling from Uttar Pradesh to meet her cousin in Noida and mistakenly got off at Pari Chowk during heavy rain, PTI reported.
The police told the news agency that she allegedly signalled to the empty sleeper bus, and the driver, Kuldeep, along with the conductor, Sandeep, offered her a ride. Once she took the bus, the accused allegedly gang-raped and threatened her before abandoning her near Kashmere Gate, police said.
In other development, the Noida Police on Saturday shot dead a 40-year-old man accused of abducting and raping a six-year-old girl.
According to the police, the girl went missing from her home on Friday night and a complaint was lodged at the Ecotech 3 police station in Central Noida. The post-mortem report confirmed that the victim was raped.
“Through CCTV footage and other sources, the police teams identified Balraj (40) as the person who had abducted the child. After raping her, he had stuffed her body into a sack and discarded it,” PTI quoted Swatantra Kumar Singh, Additional DCP, Central Noida, as saying.
The police had taken the accused to the crime spot to recreate the incident and to recover the weapon. The accused tried to open fire at the constable. “In retaliation, the police fired back, hitting Balraj,” Singh said.
He was then taken to a hospital where he died during the treatment.
Similarly. two suspected sharpshooters carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 each in the murder case of Haryanvi singer and YouTuber Ankit Balyan were killed in a police encounter, according to PTI.
The two accused, identified as Mohit (22) and Sumit (24), both from Sonipat in Haryana, were injured in retaliatory firing by the police near a Gas warehouse on Kairana Road, the Shamli police said in a statement.
