A road rage incident on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road has sparked nationwide discussions after a woman biker got hit by a car, while the incident being captured on camera set on the motorcycle. The biker has identified as Sia, later she also shared the footage on social media.
A road rage incident on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road occurred when biker Sia was hit by a car driven by Kalyan Bainsla, captured on camera. Gurugram police filed an FIR, while Bainsla denied intentional collision and Sia confirmed plans for legal action.
The video showed her motorcycle got hit from the side before she fell and bike skidded several metres along the road. The Gurugram police has filed an FIR taking suo motu cognisance of the incident.
Accused Denies Intentionally Hitting Woman
The accused who has been identified as Kalyan Bainsla has now spoken his side of the incident to India Today TV that he didn’t intentionally hit his car to motorcycle.
“I did not hit them intentionally,” he said. The accused claimed that two bikers repeatedly tried to overtook him from the side, moved ahead of his car and slowed down. He also said he was ‘sorry’ that the woman was injured.
The police had earlier said that the accused will be identified and arrested “at the earliest” and that the “strictest legal action” would be taken.
What Sia Said About The Incident
The biker Sia shared the video of the incident on Sunday morning while she was riding her Aprilia RS 457 sports bike with a group of bikers.
While sharing the video with a voiceover she said, “He had started chasing on the Golf Course Road. I asked him to drive while maintaining distance. He kept making hand gestures asking me to stop my bike.”
She said she tried to continue moving ahead to prevent the car from blocking her, while a friend riding behind her and also tried to stop the car from coming alongside.
Biker Plans Legal Action
Sia said the car eventually swerved and hit her motorcycle, causing her to fall.
She thanked people for their “support” and said she would take legal action with her lawyer. She also made it clear that she does not want to reveal her identity or face at present and would not give interviews.
“I hope everyone will respect my decision…Thank you for standing with me,” Sia said.
