In a shocking incident, a 21 year old woman was allegedly kidnapped from her Bengaluru home by four men reportedly sent by her family in Rajasthan after she married a 23 year old man against their wishes. The abduction met with an accident leaving six people injured.

A 21-year-old woman, Pooja, was allegedly abducted from her Bengaluru home by four men sent by her Rajasthan family after marrying against their wishes; the escape attempt using a Hyundai Venue resulted in an accident injuring six people, leading to the arrest of three suspects.
The woman, identified as Pooja, had married Om Prakash, also 23, around nine months ago. Both are residents of Melwas village in Rajasthan and had moved to Bengaluru after their marriage. The couple was living in the Agrahara Dasarahalli area.
Police said the woman’s family had opposed the marriage and allegedly sent four men to Bengaluru to bring her back.
Woman Allegedly Abducted From Bengaluru Home
As per the statement made by the cops, the four men entered into the house of Pooja and apparently kidnapped her against her will. The criminals apparently escaped in a Hyundai Venue bearing the number RJ 22 CC 9691.

The matter became very complicated when the car started moving at a faster pace. It is believed that the driver Saddam had panicked due to Pooja screaming inside the car. As a part of their alleged escape from the crime scene, the SUV smashed several cars, which included three to four two wheelers.
Six Injured In Bengaluru Crash
The vehicle’s collision with other road users left six people injured.
Those injured have been identified as:
- Prithviraj, 12
- Yashika, 9
- Amul, 35
- Mani, 64
- Jayalakshmi, 57
- Santosh, 33
Jayalakshmi suffered a head injury and has been admitted to the ICU. The other injured people are also undergoing treatment.
The exact sequence of the collisions is being investigated by police.
Locals Chase SUV, Three Accused Arrested
Post-crash, there were reports that local residents chased down the Hyundai Venue and stopped it.
Footage seen on social media showed locals dragging the accused out of the car. They had allegedly thrashed some of them before the police could intervene.
The police later arrested three men and impounded the SUV.
Those who have been arrested are Rakesh, aged 31, Karan, aged 25, and Ayan, aged 18. All of them hail from Rajasthan.
The fourth accused, Saddam, who is alleged to be the driver of the SUV, is yet to be found.
Pooja’s Aunt’s Role Under Scanner
There is an investigation concerning her alleged participation in the crime.
Police are of the opinion that she was allegedly in touch with Pooja even after the marriage of the lady. With the help of their conversation, the relatives allegedly found out where Pooja was staying in Bangalore. Police feel that she was allegedly in touch with Saddam and asked him to help her with the kidnap of the girl.
Marriage Dispute At Centre Of Case
According to police, the case is linked to the couple’s marriage, which took place around eight to nine months ago despite opposition from their families.
After moving from Rajasthan to Bengaluru, Pooja and Om Prakash had been living together in Agrahara Dasarahalli.
Police are now investigating whether the alleged abduction was planned in advance, who arranged for the four men to travel to Bengaluru and what happened inside the vehicle before the crash.
