US President Donald Trump has launched the idea of creating a new ‘Super Intelligence Force’ (SIF) which will guarantee that America stays ahead in the rapidly evolving global artificial intelligence (AI) race.
The US President stated that the new force will comprise of top officials from across the US government and will be directly reporting to the White House.
US President Donald Trump launched the ‘Super Intelligence Force’ (SIF), led by Jay Clayton and reporting to the White House, to ensure American leadership in AI development and coordinate federal efforts with industry and the public.
The announcement comes as tensions flare between Washington and Beijing over artificial intelligence, advanced technology and national security.

The force will be led by National Intelligence chief Jay Clayton with FTC Chairperson Andrew Ferguson and Emil Michael, the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, also named to the team.
Scott Kupor, Director of the US Office of Personnel Management, has been named a member. SIF will directly report to Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
According to Trump, the group “will coordinate the Federal Government’s efforts to engage with consumers, public interest organizations, religious groups, critical infrastructure providers and companies working on superintelligence”.
The initiative comes days after Trump warned that the US could fall behind China if Washington attempted to slow the development of artificial intelligence.
The president dismissed criticism towards rapid AI expansion, calling the critics “negative forces”.
Trump stated that the new force would focus on guaranteeing that America stays on the forefront of a “technological revolution potentially larger than the Industrial Revolution and the arrival of the Internet.”
“The Super Intelligence Force is tasked with coordinating the effort of the Federal Government to ensure that America continues to lead the World in Super Intelligence,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
He added that the initiative would also seek to protect American interests and improve the lives of people in the country.
