Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has promised to take strict measures against those responsible for firing at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai.
He said no criminal gang will be spared if they are found to be involved in the incident.
Following shots fired at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde promised strict action against involved criminal gangs, stating the government prioritizes safety. Tiger Shroff escaped unharmed, and police are investigating potential links to organized crime, including the Lawrence Bishnoi group named in an unverified social media claim.
Shinde said the state government and Mumbai Police had taken the matter seriously and investigators were tasked with finding both those who fired upon Tiger Shroff and those who supposedly directed the attack.

“I have spoken to Mumbai Police. The entire police team will look for them,” said Eknath Shinde, noting that the safety of citizens and celebrities continued to be his government’s priority.
Eknath Shinde invokes Mumbai’s anti-gangster operations
Eknath Shinde referenced Mumbai’s crackdown on organised crime in the 1990s, saying the police had taken a firm action against gangs that had been spreading terror across the country. He said authorities would take a firm stance if the investigation found that criminal networks were involved in the latest incident of firing.
Eknath Shinde said investigators would first establish who had opened fire, who had claimed responsibility and whether there was a larger criminal network behind it.
The Deputy Chief Minister also referred to past cases in which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had been implicated, including the killing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique and the firing outside actor Salman Khan’s residence.
Questioning why such incidents still took place despite alleged gangsters being in custody, Shinde said the situation could not be allowed to continue. However, he maintained that the police would establish the facts before jumping to any conclusions about who was behind the attack.
Tiger Shroff escapes unhurt
The firing took place in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday, when three rounds were reportedly fired at Tiger Shroff’s BMW. The actor was returning home after playing a football match when the incident occurred.
Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt, while his driver was admitted to Nanavati Hospital. The police cordoned off the area and formed 12 teams to trace those who had fired upon the actor.
A social media post attributed to gangsters Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, who are supposedly based abroad, claimed responsibility for the firing in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi group. However, the police have yet to confirm the authenticity of the post or whether the alleged group was involved in the incident.
