Speaking at the event, Jeeva explained why he had invited his father on stage, saying he wanted to receive his blessings. He described Choudary as an “OG producer” and a towering figure in Tamil cinema, noting that the film had been made on a modest budget and that his father had appreciated the effort.

In a touching moment caught on camera, Choudary called his Jeeva’s son Sparsh to join him on stage. Jeeva, in a light-hearted tone, joked that he felt inferior to share stage with his grown up son. The exchange drew laughter from the audience.

Addressing the gathering, Choudary said he had largely stopped attending public events in recent years but had chosen to be present on this occasion to express his gratitude. He thanked the audience and the film’s team for the success of the project.

“Today I came here to thank everyone. This is an occasion to thank you all for this success,” he said.

Turning to Jeeva, he acknowledged his son’s journey in cinema, noting that while some of his films had succeeded and others had not, he was pleased with the reception to Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil. He concluded the moment by affectionately kissing Jeeva on stage, a gesture that has since resonated deeply with fans online.

The clip has since gone viral, with many viewers describing it as a poignant final memory of the veteran producer.
