Ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026 celebrations, Bengaluru Traffic Police has announced traffic restrictions and diversions in parts of East Bengaluru on Thursday, May 28, 2026, to manage vehicular movement near prayer grounds and mosques.

The advisory will remain in effect across areas falling under KG Halli and Pulakeshinagar traffic police station limits during morning prayer hours.

Ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026 prayers on May 28, Bengaluru Traffic Police implemented traffic restrictions and diversions in East Bengaluru’s KG Halli and Pulakeshinagar areas to manage congestion, providing alternative routes and specific parking zones near prayer grounds.

Bengaluru Traffic Alert for Bakrid Nagawara to Pottery Circle Stretch Affected on May 28

Traffic Restrictions in KG Halli Limits

According to the advisory, vehicular movement will be restricted from Nagawara Junction to Pottery Circle between 5 AM and 2 PM on May 28.

Traffic police said the arrangements are being made to ensure smoother movement and avoid congestion near Eidgah grounds and mosques expected to witness large gatherings during Bakrid prayers.

Alternative Routes Suggested

Vehicles travelling from Nagawara Junction towards Shivajinagar have been advised to divert via Hennur Road, HBR Layout 80 Feet Road, Chandrika Junction, Lingarajapuram Flyover and Robertson Road before reaching Shivajinagar.

Similarly, motorists travelling from Shivajinagar towards Nagawara Junction have been directed to use Spencer Road, Coles Road and Veerasandra Road towards Hennur and Banaswadi.

For commuters travelling from RT Nagar towards Kaval Bairasandra via Nagawara Junction, police have suggested diversions through Pushpanjali Talkies and Veeranna Palya Junction.

No Parking Zones Announced

Police have also prohibited parking of all vehicles from Pottery Circle to Nagawara Junction during the restriction period.

Authorities stated that devotees attending prayers near Eidgah Ground and Bilal Mosque can park vehicles near Alphonsus School Cross Road and Pillanna Garden Road.

Those visiting Umar Mosque and Arabic College have been advised to use parking spaces near Umar Mosque 4th Cross Road and HBR 9th Cross Road.

Meanwhile, visitors heading towards Masjid-e-Munawar have been directed to park along HBR 80 Feet Road and 1st Cross Road.

Restrictions Also Imposed in Pulakeshinagar Area

Separate traffic arrangements have also been announced within Pulakeshinagar traffic police station limits between 7 AM and 12 PM on Thursday.

Police said vehicular movement from Old Udaya TV Junction towards Millers Road and St John’s Church Road will remain temporarily restricted.

Additional restrictions will also apply on stretches connecting Haines Road, Nandidurga Road and Millers Road.

Diversion Routes in Pulakeshinagar

Motorists travelling from Old Udaya TV Junction towards St John’s Church Road have been advised to take diversions via Bamboo Bazaar Junction, Netaji Road and Prominent Road.

Similarly, vehicles moving from Haines Road towards Millers Road and Nandidurga Road have been asked to use Bamboo Bazaar Service Road, Cantonment Road and Queens Road.

Traffic police have also temporarily restricted parking along Millers Road during the advisory period.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police has requested the public to cooperate and plan travel in advance to avoid delays and congestion during Bakrid prayer timings on Thursday.
