Ram Charan’s Peddi has opened to exceptional numbers at the box office across India and overseas markets. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama has crossed the coveted ₹100-crore mark worldwide within just two days of release, including premiere shows, signalling one of the biggest openings of the year for an Indian film.

The film began its journey with paid premiere shows on Wednesday. Despite being limited to just 847 shows, Peddi generated a gross collection of ₹21.83 crore and a net collection of ₹18.50 crore, recording an impressive 72 per cent occupancy, according to Sacnilk data. The strong response during previews set the stage for a massive opening day.

Ram Charan’s sports action drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, grossed ₹112.49 crore worldwide in its first two days, earning ₹60.66 crore in India on Day 1, significantly boosted by Telugu states.

Peddi Box Office Collection – Day 1

On its first day (Thursday), Peddi witnessed a huge surge in collections. The film earned ₹60.66 crore gross and ₹51 crore net from India across 12,412 shows. Although the overall occupancy stood at 45.5 per cent, the sheer volume of screens and strong evening and night attendance helped the film post remarkable numbers.

With the premiere and Day 1 collections combined, Peddi has amassed ₹82.49 crore gross and ₹69.50 crore net from the Indian market. The film has also performed strongly overseas, where it has collected ₹30 crore gross. As a result, the worldwide gross collection has climbed to an impressive ₹112.49 crore within the first two days.

The Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana emerged as the backbone of the film’s success. The region contributed a massive ₹48 crore gross on Day 1 alone, accounting for nearly 80 per cent of the domestic collections. Karnataka delivered an excellent ₹5.75 crore, while Tamil Nadu contributed ₹1.50 crore. Kerala added ₹0.25 crore, and the rest of India generated ₹5.16 crore, the data read.
