Haryana has arranged free bus travel and stepped-up security for the NEET-UG re-examination on June 21. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini directed Haryana Roadways to carry eligible candidates without charge. The state also set stricter checks at exam centres. Officials said these steps aim to reduce inconvenience and keep the test process fair.

An official spokesperson said free travel will be available on June 20 in regular Haryana Roadways buses. The same facility will operate on June 21 for trips to centres. It will also cover the return journey after the exam. Candidates must show valid NEET admit cards to use the service.
NEET-UG re-exam security arrangements in Haryana
The Haryana government said it has prepared a comprehensive, multi-layered security framework for the NEET-UG re-exam. The plan involved district administrations and Haryana Police. Officials said special arrangements were rolled out to protect the sanctity of the exam. Each centre will have police personnel, duty magistrates, and quick response teams QRTs.
The government said centres will also have dedicated male and female frisking teams. An official statement said officials must ensure security, traffic control, medical support, and drinking water. Other essential facilities were also to be arranged through the examination period. The steps were linked to transparency and fairness in examinations.
NEET-UG re-exam frisking and banned items in Haryana
A dual-layer frisking system has been introduced at all examination centres. Police and home guard personnel will screen candidates before the main gate. Security staff will do a second frisking after entry into the premises. At least one frisking staff will be placed for every 100 candidates.
Women will form at least 50 percent of frisking teams, officials said. Hand-held metal detectors will be used at centres. Haryana Police directed that banned items will not be allowed inside. The list included mobile phones, bluetooth devices, tablets, smartwatches, and other electronic gadgets.
Police also banned jewellery, notes, books, loose papers, and other prohibited material. Officials said adequate CCTV coverage has been ensured at all centres. Electronic surveillance will remain active at critical points. These measures were described as part of stronger monitoring during the re-exam.
NEET-UG re-exam monitoring and enforcement in Haryana
Haryana Director General of Police Ajay Singhal said police is fully prepared for fair conduct. The DGP instructed police commissioners and superintendents to keep regular monitoring. Senior officers were told to conduct surprise inspections and review arrangements. Officials said intelligence units were activated to track anti-social elements.
Police said coaching centres, hotels, lodges, and cyber cafes near centres may face special checks. Locations deemed sensitive will be covered under the plan. Social media platforms will stay under continuous surveillance. Officials said this is to curb rumours, misinformation, paper leaks, or fraudulent activity.
NEET-UG re-exam travel support in Haryana Roadways
The spokesperson said the Haryana Directorate of State Transport issued directions to roadways general managers. The aim was strict compliance with the chief minister’s instructions. Drivers and conductors were directed to provide free travel to eligible candidates. Admit cards must be shown at the time of travel.
Officials said special security measures were also set for question papers. Arrangements covered safe transportation and secure storage. Staff posted at centres have undergone security vetting. Gazetted officers inspected every centre. The checks covered buildings, rooms, walls, and premises, to meet safety standards.
