The Uttar Pradesh government has gone into full alert mode ahead of the upcoming Home Guard recruitment examination, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath set to conduct a late-night high-level review meeting on Wednesday. The meeting, scheduled for 9 pm via video conferencing, will focus on exam preparedness, security arrangements and law and order across the state before the three-day recruitment exercise begins later this week.

CM Yogi to Review Security, Exam Arrangements With Top Officials
With the Home Guard recruitment examination set to be held on 25, 26 and 27 April, the Yogi Adityanath government is tightening administrative and policing oversight to ensure the process is conducted smoothly. During the video conference, the Chief Minister is expected to issue key instructions regarding both exam preparations and the broader law and order situation in the state.
The review meeting will include senior officials from across Uttar Pradesh, including Additional Directors General of Police (Zones), Police Commissioners, Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates, IGs and DIGs of ranges, Senior Superintendents of Police, Superintendents of Police, District School Inspectors and other concerned officers.
Focus on Fair, Transparent and Cheating-Free Examination
The state government has made it clear that its top priority is to conduct the recruitment examination in a transparent, fair and malpractice-free manner. Authorities are expected to maintain strict vigilance over examination centres, ensure smooth movement and convenience for candidates, and prevent any attempts at cheating or disruption.
The government is also likely to issue special alerts for sensitive districts, examination centres and areas where crowding is expected. During the review, the Chief Minister will also assess the law and order situation in detail and may direct officials to enforce heightened monitoring in vulnerable locations.
The Yogi government is following a zero-tolerance approach towards cheating, paper leaks or any other irregularities, and officials have been instructed to join the video conference fully prepared.
Recruitment Test for 41,424 Posts, District Slips Already Released
The written examination is being conducted for recruitment to 41,424 Home Guard volunteer posts in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board had already issued district slips on Saturday, informing candidates about their exam dates and allotted districts.
The board has said that examination centres have been assigned while keeping candidate convenience in mind. Female candidates have been allotted centres within districts falling under the same range as their home district, making travel more manageable.
For male candidates, officials said centres have largely been allotted within their zone or in neighbouring districts.
Admit Cards to Be Released Three Days Before Exam, CCTV Monitoring at Centres
According to board officials, admit cards for the 25, 26 and 27 April examination will be uploaded on the recruitment board’s website three days before each test date.
More than 1,000 examination centres have been set up across almost all districts of the state, with the exception of Shravasti. Authorities plan to maintain strict surveillance at these centres through CCTV cameras.
In a first for Home Guard recruitment in Uttar Pradesh, the selection process is being conducted through a written examination on the lines of the constable recruitment model. The test will be held on OMR sheets, marking a significant shift towards a more standardised and monitored recruitment process.
