Firecracker Blasts Continue, Hampering Rescue Operations
It is reported that the fire reached other firecrackers kept in the area leading to intermittent explosions due to the dense population of the locality.
The explosion was so strong that the front part of the house got demolished and its debris fell into the road, making it difficult for the rescue teams.
As per the SP, the explosion was happening intermittently for about two hours, preventing the rescue of those trapped under the debris.
“A total of four deaths have been confirmed. However, the number of family members in the house was seven, as per the village head. We are trying to confirm the fate of the rest of the three family members,” Soni informed.

Medical And Forensic Teams Reach The Spot
Authorities have deployed a medical team to assess the casualties and help establish the exact death toll. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has also reached the site to collect samples and investigate the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
Officials said some bodies may have suffered severe damage due to the intensity of the blasts, making identification difficult. The final casualty figures will be confirmed after the necessary medical examination.
SP Bharat Soni said authorities would share further details once the medical team completed its assessment and the forensic examination provided more information.
