Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s latest remark against Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leaders KTR and Harish Rao has erupted a new political row. Reventh Reddy blamed the BRS leaders for being a bad luck for farmers of the state and bringing irrigation crisis.
Responding to a question of how farmers of the state would deal with drought like situation, Telangana CM said, “Ask them (BRS leaders) to go (Kaleshwaram), tie a stone at their backs and jump into the water.
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy sparked a political row by blaming BRS leaders KTR and Harish Rao for the state’s irrigation crisis and farmers’ drought. BRS leader Harish Rao demanded an apology for Reddy’s harsh language about the Kaleshwaram project.
This is the only way we will lose the bad luck.
BRS leaders have committed sins and are roaming freely.

CM further said that KCR is ashamed and locked up himself in his farmhouse.
“These (KTR & Harish Rao) are shameless people,” Revanth Reddy said.
“If you cut them (BRS leaders) and spill their blood on the farms, farmers will be able to cultivate their crops. Their ego and fat will be enough for the crops,” Revanth Reddy added.

Soon farmers of the state will give them a belt treatment.
Revanth Reddy’s scathing attack came amid the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project row, in which, the Opposition BRS has been criticizing the ruling Congress’ Revanth Reddy government and demanding to release irrigation water from the Kannepalli pump house.
BRS has accused Congress of not providing sufficient water to farmers, despite it is available in Kannepalli pump house and letting the farmers face a drought like situation.
Defending decisions of the officials, Revanth Reddy said, to solve farmers problems and irrigation issues, sufficient efforts were made by his government and to restore the project.
“Don’t politicise these projects… They (BRS leaders) burn with lies and corruption. They are looters and cheaters. This is my official statement on the KCR family,” Telangana CM said.
Reacting to the harsh remarks, BRS MLA and former Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao came out all guns blazing and demanded an unconditional apology from Telangana CM for using a foul language for senior politicians.
He said, “we asked the Chief Minister to provide water to farmers’ fields, but Revanth Reddy says he will pour our blood instead. Is this the kind of language a Chief Minister should use? We ask for water, and Revanth Reddy talks about blood,” BRS leader said.
