The Cockroach Janata Party has announced the withdrawal of protest on Saturday with immediate effect after the government accepted their demands. They announced it after a third round of talks with Union Minister JP Nadda and announcement of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. While after the meeting at Constitution Club in New Delhi, the protest has ended but they have promised to continue talks on examination reforms.

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) ended its protest after the government accepted demands, including financial aid for families of paper leak suicide victims and withdrawal of FIRs, following talks involving JP Nadda and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. CJP will continue discussions on examination reforms.

CJP Calls Off Protest After Government Accepts Demands

While announcing the end of CJP protest, the party said it is now withdrawing nationwide protest with immediate effect after the government has agreed to accept all their demands.

According to CJP spokesperson, the government has agreed to give financial support to the families who have lost their children due to paper leak in suicide. Noticeably, some students took the harsh step of suicide after the NEET paper got leaked.

The government has also made sure that the FIRs which has been filed in Central government and NDA ruled states will be withdrawal, and no further action will be taken against them in future.

New Education Minister After Dharmendra Pradhan

After following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the government is now on search for the new name who can replace Dharmendra Pradhan. However, PM Modi has not accepted the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan yet but he is likely to accept it as the major reason was his resignation.

Jantar Mantar Protest Ends, Metro Services Return to Normal

As soon the protest got over, the protestors have started vacating Jantar Mantar protest site.

Delhi Metro has also announced that there three stations including Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat, which were halted due to the protest has now been restored at normalcy. DMRC has advised the commuters to get back to normal routes.

What Happens Next?

Although, the government and CJP have announced protest is over, but the major reform on examination paper leak is still have to be discussed. CJP has said that they will continue to engage with government in the next meeting and push them for changes.

Now all the demands which have been accepted by the government will be monitored by the CJP and its followers if they are being followed and fulfilled by the government or not.
