For violence in Patna, while backing the students’ protest, Jan Shakti Janata Dal (JSJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav was arrested, and has been sent to 14 days’ judicial custody. On Saturday, Patna Police arrested Tej Pratap Yadav from a mall near Dak Bungalow Chauraha. Police presented him before Judicial magistrate in late hours, where judge ordered to lock him up for next 14 days in Beur Central Jail.
Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son, along with his supporters, was leading and participating in protests and breaking state’s law and order.
पटना में छात्रों के विरोध प्रदर्शनों के दौरान हिंसा के मामले में जन शक्ति जनता दल (JSJD) के प्रमुख तेज प्रताप यादव को गिरफ्तार कर 14 दिनों की न्यायिक हिरासत में भेजा गया है, जबकि छात्र NEET पेपर लीक और NTA की अनियमितताओं को लेकर प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे।
Students’ protests were held in Patna and across the country to raise demands to fix irregularities in NTA (National Testing Agency), fair NEET paper leak investigation, and resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Several videos of Patna protest are going viral on internet showing how miscreants, in the name of students, vandalised public property, pelted stones at police, and doing voilence.
Viral videos show Tej Pratap Yadav hitting the streets during Bihar Bandh called in support of students protest. He was spotted near Ram Gulam Chowk in Patna expressing dissent against the current regime.
Police logged an FIR at Gandhi Maidan Police Station against Tej Pratap Yadav, followed by his arrest.
Keeping his side after the detention, Tej Pratap said, he only backed the protesting students.
“The children’s demands are legitimate. The government must fulfil their demands, and we stand firmly with them. I am ready to lay down my life for the students and youth,” said Tej Pratap Yadav.

Meanwhile, Tej Pratap Yadav’s lawyer Jagannath Singh, has prepared for the bail. He said a bail petition will be filed on Monday seeking earliest release
of Tej Pratap Yadav.
