The deadline for LPG consumers to complete e-KYC verification is ending today, August 23. Customers using Indane Gas, HP Gas and Bharat Gas are being asked to complete their biometric Aadhaar authentication to avoid possible disruption to their LPG-related services.
The deadline was earlier set for August 16 but was extended to August 23. Consumers who have not completed the process are advised to finish their verification as soon as possible.
The August 23 deadline requires Indane, HP, and Bharat Gas consumers to complete LPG e-KYC using Aadhaar biometric authentication to prevent disruptions in services and potential impacts on subsidies.

What happens if you miss the LPG e-KYC deadline?
Consumers who leave their e-KYC pending could face problems with their LPG services. These may include restrictions on cylinder bookings, refills and other services linked to their LPG connection.
There could also be an impact on LPG subsidies. Eligible consumers under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) and other subsidy schemes may face delays or suspension of benefits if their verification remains incomplete.
Consumers should therefore complete the process before the deadline if they want to avoid any disruption.
How to complete LPG e-KYC?
LPG consumers can complete their e-KYC through their respective LPG distributor or through the online services provided by their oil marketing company.
The process generally involves Aadhaar-based biometric authentication. Consumers may be required to provide their Aadhaar details and complete biometric verification as part of the process.
Those facing difficulties online can visit their nearest Indane, HP Gas or Bharat Gas distributor for assistance.
Will the LPG e-KYC deadline be extended?
The deadline was originally August 16 and was subsequently extended to August 23. There has been no official announcement so far confirming another extension beyond August 23.
Consumers who have not completed their e-KYC should therefore not assume that the deadline will be extended and should complete the verification at the earliest.
