Panchayat Season 5 OTT release date
The wait for the next chapter of Panchayat could finally be nearing its end.
Speaking to India Today, Mishra confirmed that editing for Season 5 is currently underway. He said the exact release date is yet to be decided, but the series could arrive around October or November.
That means Panchayat Season 5 is expected to stream later this year, although there is no confirmed premiere date as of now. The series has streamed on Prime Video since its first season, and Season 5 is expected to follow the same route.

If the makers stick to the timeline shared by Mishra, viewers could return to Phulera sometime in October or November 2026.
For now, though, it is best to treat this as a tentative window rather than a fixed release date. The director has not announced a specific day, and Prime Video is yet to reveal the official premiere date.

What will happen in Panchayat Season 5?
The new season will pick up after the Phulera elections, which ended with a major change in the village’s political equation.
Mishra has hinted that the story will focus on what happens to the characters after the election is over, rather than simply continuing the political battle.
Pradhan Ji has lost the election, and the upcoming season will explore how he deals with the defeat and carries on with his life in the same village.
“Sabki zindagi aage badhegi. Elections toh ho gaye. Pradhan Ji haar gaye,” Mishra told India Today, adding that the story will also follow how the lives of the other characters move forward.
That could make for an interesting change in Phulera. Pradhan Ji is no longer in the same position of power, while the other characters will also have to deal with the consequences of the election.
Abhishek Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar, will remain at the heart of the story, with Mishra also indicating that Sachiv Ji’s journey will move forward in the new season.
Is Panchayat Season 5 the final season?
There had also been speculation that Season 5 could be the end of Panchayat. Mishra has now put those rumours to rest.
When asked whether the fifth season would be the final instalment, the director replied, “Nahi, aisa kuch nahi hai.”
So, at least for now, there is no indication that the makers are planning to end the series with Season 5.

Jitendra Kumar is expected to return as Abhishek Tripathi, alongside the familiar Panchayat cast, including Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Sunita Rajwar and Pankaj Jha.
The series, produced by The Viral Fever and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, first premiered in 2020 and has since become one of India’s most popular streaming shows.
For now, the Panchayat Season 5 OTT release date remains unconfirmed, but the October-November window gives fans a clearer idea of when they could return to Phulera.
