Another NATO arms depot for Kyiv goes up in flames: Is Russia’s covert war targeting Bulgaria again?

Bulgaria is investigating another fire at an EMCO weapons depot as suspicions of sabotage return to NATO’s eastern flank. The September 12 blaze near Tsareva Livada came weeks after another EMCO depot explosion, with authorities refusing to rule out external interference. EMCO owner Emilian Gebrev survived a 2015 poisoning attempt, while Bulgarian prosecutors previously linked Russian operatives to attacks involving depots holding munitions destined for Ukraine and Georgia. Moscow has rejected such allegations. With another weapons facility now burning, is Russia’s alleged “shadow war” targeting NATO’s crucial arms pipeline to Ukraine?
