A woman sports bike rider was injured after a Maruti Ciaz hit her on Gold Course Road in Gurugram. The incident took place on Sunday and it was recorded through biker’s action camera fitted to her Aprilia RS 457.
A woman riding an Aprilia RS 457 sports bike was injured after a Maruti Ciaz hit her on Gold Course Road in Gurugram on Sunday. Police filed an FIR after a viral video implicated alleged Kabaddi player Kalyan Bainsla, though the car owner denies driving the vehicle.
Later the woman shared the video on social media that shows a car moving towards her hitting her bike. She described that the drivers harassed and then hit her from the side, drove away. She fell onto the road after the accident and suffered minor injuries. Her motorcycle was also damaged after the hit.
“I have nothing to say, but today I felt unsafe on Gurugram roads. People like this aren’t afraid of hitting people and running away,” the woman said in the video.
Kalyan Bainsla’s Social Media Claims
According a report of NDTV, Kalyan Bainsla as allegedly been identified the accused in the case. His social media profile claims him as an ‘international Kabaddi player’ and a member of ‘Indian rugby team’.
He even claim on social media that he had won the Amateur Olympia India bodybuilding tournament. However, these claims are still not verified. Bainsla shares his pictures and videos of working out and showing his physique. However, now his Instagram account has been deactivated.
Police Take Action After Viral Video
Gurugram Police filed an FIR at Sector 56 Police station after taking suo motu cognisance of the viral video.
“On September 14, 2026, our Social Media Monitoring Cell intercepted a video showing a four-wheeler hitting a female two-wheeler rider from behind,” ACP Abhilaksh Joshi said, according to the police statement.
He said police were tracing the accused through the vehicle and that the woman will also be a part of the investigation.
Car Owner Denies Being Behind the Wheel
According to NDTV, the car owner, Manish, a resident of Haryana’s Palwal, said he was not driving the vehicle. He told the news organisation that he serves in the Army and was on duty in Assam when the incident took place.
Manish said a friend had borrowed the car from his family on Sunday and that he learned about the incident only after the video became viral.
NDTV also visited Bainsla’s gym, where the property owner said the premises had been vacated two months earlier after a rent dispute was settled.
