A second class student died after collapsing inside her classroom at a school in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, during a DP procession passed for idol immersion. The CCTV footage from the school shows the girl becoming unwell during procession before falling from her chair.
A second-class student in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, died after collapsing in her classroom during a loud DJ procession for idol immersion. Her family alleges the music caused multiple heart attacks, but police are investigating the exact cause of death.
The incident took place at 11 AM when the daughter of Sonu Tiwari was attending school class with the other students on the first floor. At the same time, a DJP immersion procession passed outside the school while playing the sound at extreme high volume.
Student Collapses Inside Classroom
The CCTV footage showed a three-minute-two-second video where the student can be seen reacting to the loud DJ sound coming from outside. Some students even started looking at the windows and doors while DJ music grows louder.
Initially the girl can be seen laughing and pointing towards students who were arguing in the classroom. Just few moments later, she appeared to be distressed and suddenly collapsed into her chair. Her head fell backwards onto a table behind her.
A boy even tried to wake her and moves her heard forward but she briefly adjusts herself and appears to try to sit upright. However, she soon places her head on the table again before collapsing from the chair as her body lost control.
Family Claims Three Heart Attacks
The girl’s family has claimed that her condition worsened after loud DJ music and she suffered three successive heart attacks. They said her condition became critical after the third heart attack and she died immediately after that. Doctors declared her brought dead in the hospital.
Even the school administrator Ashish Upadhyay has confirmed that the incident was recorded on the school’s CCTV footage. He also alleged that the DJ was playing at the extremely high volume during the idol immersion procession.
“I am a teacher here. Yesterday, when I was teaching, a DJ arrived. The volume became extremely loud, and the classroom started to vibrate. That is when the student suffered her first attack. When we noticed this, other teachers arrived, and she was immediately taken to the hospital; her parents also came there,” class teacher Iqra Khan said.
Police Begin Investigation
The Coordinator Pummy Mishra said the teachers immediately responded to the situation after girl became unconscious.
“The teacher called us. When we went upstairs, we saw a child lying unconscious. We picked her up and started rubbing her hands and feet after removing her shoes, but she didn’t regain consciousness. We brought her downstairs, and we rushed her to the hospital emergency ward,” she said.
However, the police has said that they are still investigating the circumstances of girl child’s death and it will only be clear after the investigation whether the DJ sound responsible for her death or something else.
