A video clip linked with the allegation of an assault inside the Family Court premises in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj has attracted attention after a woman accused her husband and two other men of attacking her during a maintenance case hearing.
The complainant, Priya Tripathi, has approached Kotwali police seeking registration of an FIR against her husband Manish Kumar Mishra and two others, Prince Mishra and Satish Mishra. She has alleged that she was beaten, pushed to the ground and was subjected to an attempted strangulation inside the court complex on September 24.
Priya Tripathi alleged her husband Manish Kumar Mishra and two others assaulted her on September 24 at the Maharajganj Family Court during a maintenance case hearing, submitting a video clip to Kotwali police as evidence.
The complaint alleged that she attended proceedings in case number 641/2025, Priya versus Manish Kumar Mishra. Her father, Lakshmikant, was present to give testimony and her sister Priyanka was also accompanying her.
The alleged confrontation reportedly took place after the court proceedings. Tripathi claimed that she, her father and sister had come out of the courtroom at around 2 pm and reached a hall on the ground floor when the three men allegedly approached them.
She has alleged that the men had assaulted her and she was pushed to the ground during the confrontation. She also claimed that an attempt was being made to press her neck.

The incident has attracted attention because Tripathi says that a video clip associated with the alleged confrontation has been handed over to police along with her complaint.
The footage is expected to be examined as part of the police inquiry into the alleged incident. The complaint alleged that Tripathi’s father and sister also faced an attack when they attempted to intervene.

According to Tripathi, people present at the court premises raised an alarm after the alleged incident. She claimed that police personnel deployed inside the court complex arrived on the spot and intervened.
The complainant has also alleged that she was threatened with death if she continued pursuing the legal case against her husband.
