The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday responded sharply to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge after his controversial remark about Prime Minister Narendra Modi triggered a political row. The exchange took place during an event in Patna, Bihar, on Sunday, leading to a heated debate between the ruling party and the Opposition.

Modi Nahi Jayega

The BJP responded sharply on X to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s controversial remark made in Patna, Bihar, about PM Narendra Modi. Kharge stated “Modi ka baap bhi jayega,” prompting the BJP to assert “Modi Kahi Nahi Jaayega.”

The BJP shared a post on X, saying that Modi would remain in power despite criticism from his political opponents.

BJP Responds To Kharge’s Remark On PM Modi

In its post on X, the BJP wrote, “Sorry to break it to you, all anti-Indian forces, BUT…”

The party followed this with the message, “Modi Kahi Nahi Jaayega (Modi won’t go anywhere).”

The post came amid growing criticism of Kharge’s comments, with BJP leaders and supporters targeting the Congress chief over his choice of words. The remark also sparked a wider political exchange between the two parties.

What Did Mallikarjun Kharge Say In Patna?

The controversy began on Sunday during the 139th birth anniversary celebration of Dr. Shri Krishna Singh in Patna.

While addressing the gathering, Kharge criticised Prime Minister Modi and the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which the BJP follows.

During his speech, a person present at the event reportedly said that Modi would not go anywhere. Kharge responded, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega.”

His comment triggered a ruckus at the event and quickly became a point of political contention.

Political Row Intensifies Between BJP And Congress

The BJP’s response has added to the ongoing political confrontation between the two parties. The controversy centres on Kharge’s language and the BJP’s decision to publicly counter his statement on social media.

Congress and BJP leaders have frequently clashed over political remarks, ideology and criticism of the Prime Minister. The latest exchange has once again brought the rivalry between the two parties into focus.
