Actor-politician Vijay is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu today, marking a historic political shift in the state. But amid the political drama and celebrations surrounding the swearing-in ceremony, actor Trisha Krishnan’s arrival at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium quickly became one of the biggest talking points of the morning.

Actor-politician Vijay took oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister today, heading the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party and establishing the state’s first government in 60 years not led by DMK or AIADMK; actor Trisha Krishnan attended the ceremony.
The Tamil cinema star, known to share a close bond with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay, was seen arriving at the venue ahead of the ceremony as supporters and guests gathered to witness the formation of Tamil Nadu’s first non-DMK, non-AIADMK government in nearly six decades.
Trisha Reaches Chennai Stadium For Vijay’s Big Day
Trisha Krishnan arrived at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium shortly before the oath-taking ceremony began at 10 am. Her appearance instantly grabbed attention as visuals from the venue started circulating widely among fans and political supporters.

Trisha’s presence at the event comes as no surprise considering her long-standing friendship with Vijay, with the two actors having shared screen space in several successful Tamil films over the years.
Vijay Ends Days Of Political Uncertainty
Vijay’s oath ceremony comes after nearly five days of intense negotiations and multiple rounds of discussions with allies following the Tamil Nadu Assembly election results announced earlier this week.
The TVK chief, whose party secured 108 seats in the 234-member Assembly, held four meetings with Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar before finally securing enough support to form the government.
Vijay claimed the backing of five Congress MLAs, two legislators from the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), and two MLAs each from the Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M), and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
Since Vijay was elected from two constituencies and will vacate one seat, the alliance’s effective strength stands at 120 MLAs, comfortably above the majority mark of 118.
Historic Moment In Tamil Nadu Politics
Vijay’s swearing-in is being seen as a landmark political moment in Tamil Nadu. His government will become the state’s first administration in almost 60 years that is not led by either the DMK or the AIADMK.
The actor-turned-politician’s rapid political rise has reshaped the state’s political landscape, with thousands of supporters gathering across Chennai to celebrate the occasion.
Outside the stadium, TVK workers waved party flags, raised slogans and welcomed leaders and celebrities arriving for the ceremony, with Trisha’s arrival emerging as one of the standout moments ahead of Vijay officially taking charge as Chief Minister.
