A charter aircraft carrying Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah from Bengaluru to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Thursday due to poor weather over the national capital. The flight, which also had senior Congress leaders on board, landed safely in Jaipur after air traffic control changed its route.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s flight to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Thursday due to poor weather over the capital, with several other domestic flights also facing diversions or cancellations.
Adverse conditions also affected regular services. Four Delhi-bound domestic flights were redirected to Jaipur on Thursday evening. The affected services were Air India flights AI 1837 and AI 2718 from Coimbatore, Air India Express flight IX 1671 from Mumbai, and IndiGo flight 6E 6150 from Guwahati. A Jaipur-Chandigarh flight, 6E 7414, was cancelled because of bad weather in Chandigarh.

According to information shared by news agency ANI, citing the Karnataka Chief Minister’s Office, the “special flight carrying Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah landed in Jaipur instead of Delhi due to adverse weather conditions.” The statement noted that AICC General Secretary Randeep Surjewala, Ministers KJ George and Bairati Suresh, Legal Advisor Ponnanna, Legislative Council Member Dr. Yatindra and AICC Secretary Abhishek Dutt were also on board.
The diversions and cancellation highlight how Thursday’s weather disrupted air links between Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigarh and several other cities. Flight operations were adjusted to maintain safety, with aircraft rerouted or grounded as required while conditions over Delhi and Chandigarh remained unsuitable for normal arrivals.
