Actor Kriti Sanon who is facing trolling has got a support from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha. Kriti Sanon is facing trolling over her outfit in Rakhsha Bandhan jewellery advertisement on social media. Now Rahul Gandhi has shared Kriti Sanon’s Instagram story post on his account and said that she should not face policing over their clothing, choices or lifestyle.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi publicly supported actor Kriti Sanon amid online trolling over her Raksha Bandhan advertisement outfit, stating women’s clothing choices are their own freedom and should not be policed. Sanon defended her attire, asserting that culture resides within and questioning the policing of women’s fashion choices.
Rahul Gandhi Supports Kriti Sanon
While sharing Kriti Sanon’s statement, Rahul Gandhi wrote, “What a woman wears, what she does and where she goes – is her choice. Stop trolling women for exercising their freedom.”
Rahul Gandhi who is currently focusing on students and GenZ, took this matter to address the trolling. This support comes at the time when BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut also trolled her without taking her name for her outfit and called it ‘Bikini’.
What Did Kriti Sanon Say?
Kriti Sanon while defending her advertisement and her outfit shared an Instagram story, writing, “Culture & Traditions are in her heart, not in her neckline!… Also, when will we stop telling women what to wear?”
She mentioned that ethnic fashion has evolved with the time and the meaning of festival should be understood through emotions and not through clothing. Sanon who also gets trolled for tying a rakhi to her pet dog in the advertisement, said that she ties rakhi to her pet dog because she feels dog is her family.
