UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US President Donald Trump met at the G7 Summit in France to discuss strengthening UAE-US cooperation, with a viral, humorous comment by Trump about wealth and speaking softly becoming a notable moment.

The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, while also sharing views on the latest developments in the Middle East and other key global issues. However, it was a light-hearted comment by President Trump during the interaction that became one of the most talked-about moments from the summit.

UAE-US Leaders Hold Talks at G7 Summit

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Donald Trump met as world leaders gathered for the G7 Summit in France. According to official statements, the discussion focused on enhancing the long-standing strategic partnership between the UAE and the United States.

The leaders explored ways to deepen cooperation in areas including economic development, regional security and shared international interests. They also reviewed recent developments in the Middle East and exchanged views on several topics being discussed at the G7 gathering.

Both sides underlined the importance of global cooperation and dialogue in addressing international challenges and promoting peace and stability.

The meeting comes at a time when the Middle East continues to face political and security challenges. As close strategic partners, the UAE and the United States have frequently coordinated on regional issues, including economic cooperation, security partnerships and diplomatic initiatives.

Officials said the two leaders discussed the importance of working together to advance common goals and support efforts aimed at maintaining stability in the region.

Trump’s Humorous Comment Goes Viral

While the official discussions centred on diplomacy and cooperation, one lighter moment during the meeting caught the attention of social media users.

Trump reacted to the UAE president speaking softly during their meeting, saying:

“See, when youre that rich, you can speak that low. I was wondering, can anybody hear that? But when youre so rich, you have such confidence, you dont have to do any strain to the voice.” pic.twitter.com/MUosItIjmn

As Sheikh Mohamed spoke softly during the interaction, President Trump jokingly commented on his calm and quiet tone. Smiling, Trump said:

“See, when you’re that rich, you can speak that low. I was wondering, can anybody hear that? But when you’re so rich, you have such confidence, you don’t have to do any strain to the voice.”

The remark sparked laughter at the meeting and was widely shared online, with many users describing it as one of the lighter moments from the G7 Summit.
