Bihar’s industrial growth received a major boost as the Project Clearance Committee (PCC) of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) approved 20 new industrial projects with a proposed investment of nearly ₹350 crore. The projects are expected to generate around 2,300 employment opportunities across the state.

The PCC meeting was held under the chairmanship of Kundan Kumar, Secretary, Industries Department and Managing Director of BIADA and IDA. During the meeting, nearly 30 acres of land were allotted for setting up industrial units in different parts of Bihar.

The Project Clearance Committee of BIADA has approved 20 new industrial projects across Bihar with a total investment of ₹350 crore, aiming to create about 2,300 jobs. Land allotments and infrastructure enhancements accompany the drive, targeting diversified sectors like food processing, software, manufacturing, and healthcare to strengthen the state’s industrial base.

Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said the newly approved projects would provide fresh momentum to Bihar’s industrial and technological development. She stated that the projects are expected to create large-scale employment and skill-based opportunities for local youth. She added that the Bihar government remains committed to building an investor-friendly ecosystem and transforming the state into a modern industrial and manufacturing hub.

Transparent and time-bound land allotment

Kundan Kumar said the state government is continuously working towards balanced and inclusive industrial development. He noted that BIADA is ensuring transparent and time-bound allotment of industrial land to investors. According to officials, the government is also strengthening infrastructure, improving connectivity, simplifying procedures and offering policy support to facilitate quick implementation of projects and attract more investments.

Projects across multiple sectors

The approved projects cover diverse sectors including food processing, software development, PEB fabrication manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, PVC and UPVC pipe manufacturing, compressed biogas (CBG), healthcare and general manufacturing. These industries are expected to strengthen Bihar’s industrial base and increase local economic activities. The projects will be set up in industrial areas such as IA Kumarbagh, IGC Begusarai, IA Hajipur, IA Patliputra, IA Bariyarpur and IA Sasaram.

Major companies receive approval

Some of the major companies approved during the PCC meeting include Bharat GPS Bioenergy Pvt Ltd, Crispano Foods & Beverage Pvt Ltd, SP Institute of Workforce Development Pvt Ltd, Experia Prefaxo Pvt Ltd, Rayush Healthcare Pvt Ltd and Makhayo Foods Pvt Ltd.
