Patna: Bihar has taken another step towards strengthening its industrial ecosystem, with the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) approving the allotment of 9.14 acres of industrial land and Plug & Play sheds to 12 industrial units. The decision was taken during a meeting of BIADA’s Project Clearance Committee (PCC), which reviewed proposals related to the establishment of industrial units and promotion of investment in the state. The approved projects are expected to attract an investment of around ₹132.60 crore and generate approximately 2,500 employment opportunities.

Bihar BIADA approves Plug and Play plots for 12 units

The industrial units are proposed to be established across Patna, Buxar, Muzaffarpur, West Champaran, Bhagalpur, Purnea, Madhubani, Aurangabad and Saharsa. The allocation of industrial plots, along with Plug & Play infrastructure, is aimed at enabling investors to set up and operationalise their units more quickly by providing ready industrial facilities.

Bihar’s BIADA has sanctioned 9.14 acres of land and Plug & Play sheds for 12 industrial units across nine districts, aiming to attract around ₹132.60 crore in investment and generate approximately 2,500 jobs, while promoting a faster, transparent setup process.

Focus On Investment And Employment

Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said the newly approved industrial projects would provide a fresh impetus to Bihar’s industrial and technological development. She said the projects are expected to create employment and skill-based opportunities for the state’s youth. According to the minister, the Bihar government is working to create a conducive investment environment and position the state as a modern industrial and manufacturing hub.

BIADA Emphasises Transparent And Time-Bound Process

BIADA Managing Director Naveen Kumar, IAS, said the state government remains committed to balanced and comprehensive industrial development. He said BIADA is providing industrial plots to investors through a transparent and time-bound process. The authority is also focusing on robust infrastructure, better connectivity, simplified procedures and policy support to facilitate the timely implementation of industrial projects.

Kumar said the initiative is expected to contribute to establishing Bihar as an emerging destination for industrial investment.

Plug & Play Infrastructure To Support Faster Project Setup

The approved Plug & Play facilities are intended to provide investors with ready industrial infrastructure, reducing the time required for setting up and commencing operations of new units. The projects are expected to further accelerate industrial investment, expand Bihar’s industrial base and create new employment opportunities. BIADA said the availability of industrial land and essential infrastructure will continue to support the establishment of industries across the state.
