The Chhattisgarh government has launched a two-day Cabinet reflection and training camp at IIM Raipur to strengthen governance and prepare ministers for emerging administrative challenges. Led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the programme aims to equip the Cabinet with modern leadership skills, technological insights, and policy perspectives aligned with the vision of a Developed India.

Chhattisgarh Cabinet Camp at IIM Raipur

On the opening day, ministers participated in expert-led sessions on leadership, life values, artificial intelligence (AI), digital governance, and the rural economy. Cabinet members are staying at the IIM campus throughout the programme to facilitate focused discussions and strategic planning.

The state government believes that achieving the vision of a Developed India requires a governance model that is modern, accountable, and result-oriented. With the security situation in Bastar witnessing significant improvement, the government’s focus has shifted towards accelerating development, investment, agriculture, tourism, and improving service delivery in remote and tribal regions.

Leadership Beyond Administration

The training began with an interactive session by motivational speaker and spiritual mentor Gaur Gopal Das, who spoke about leadership, life values, emotional balance, and sensitivity in public life. He stressed that today’s public representatives must go beyond administrative responsibilities to build public trust and make balanced decisions during challenging situations.

AI and Digital Governance Take Centre Stage

Technology expert Abhay Karandikar introduced ministers to the growing role of artificial intelligence, data-driven governance, and digital decision-making. He highlighted that future-ready governance would depend on using technology to improve transparency, accelerate decision-making, strengthen monitoring systems, and ensure efficient delivery of public services, especially in remote areas.

Focus on Rural Economy and Agriculture

NITI Aayog member Dr Ramesh Chand delivered a session on strengthening rural incomes, agricultural value chains, local enterprises, and village-centric development. He emphasised that sustainable growth in Chhattisgarh depends on keeping farmers, rural employment, and forest-based livelihoods at the centre of policymaking.

Bastar’s Development in Focus

The discussions also highlighted Bastar’s transition towards a development-driven phase. The government believes that improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, tourism, investment, and local livelihoods will require a modern governance approach backed by faster implementation and better policy execution.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai described the reflection camp as essential in today’s rapidly changing governance landscape. He said governments must continuously learn, evaluate their performance, and prepare themselves for future challenges. The training programme reflects Chhattisgarh’s commitment to building a governance system that is skilled, accountable, technology-driven, and aligned with the national vision of a Developed India.
