According to Kumars statement, “the car was being driven rashly at a high speed on the wrong side when it hit him.\” Police said the driver came from the wrong direction at the red light. The impact threw the head constable onto the road. The vehicle did not stop after the hit, officials said.

Officials said the incident was recorded on a CCTV camera. In the footage, a black SUV drives past a group of traffic staff. The SUV then hits one of them. The injured person falls onto the road. The vehicle is seen fleeing soon after the crash.

A local resident, Mohammad Muzafar, who witnessed the incident, said, \”the traffic personnel were trying to stop the vehicle when it hit the head constable.\” Police said this account matched the initial sequence seen on video. Officers are checking nearby cameras for more angles. They are also looking for other eyewitnesses.
