CENTCOM said U.S. forces began strikes against Iran to impose costs for attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, calling Iran’s actions dangerous and a violation of the ceasefire. U.S. statements said the targets included missile and drone-related sites, coastal radar, surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense positions and minelayer capabilities.
