Amid a major crackdown in the detainment of Hindu Activist Swatantra Bharadwaj- CJP spokesperson Saurav Das has asked people not to turn the matter into a debate over who deserves the credit for supporting the case.

Saurav Das Raises Question Over Swatantra Bharadwaj

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das urged supporters to prioritize achieving justice for activist Swatantra Bharadwaj and the affected family over debating credit, noting alleged perpetrators remain unarrested, charges are pending, and questioning potential political influence.

In a post on X, Das appealed to supporters to remain focused on the larger issue of justice and said that everyone who stood by the affected family and young people facing such circumstances deserved recognition.

Saurav Das Says ‘We Are Not Credit-Jeevis’

Reacting to social media posts praising the role of particular individuals or organisations, Das urged people to stop what he described as an unnecessary “credit” debate.
He wrote that supporters should not turn the situation into a competition over who did the most for the case.

Das said, “We are not credit-jeevis”, and described the focus on claiming credit as appearing insecure.

Folks, we are not credit-jeevis. Let us stop with this nonsense. It looks very insecure. EACH and EVERY person who helped Nishu and her father Sanjay ji deserves equal credit. EVERY person standing with the youth deserves equal praise in these dangerous times. Let’s not stoop so…

According to him, the priority should remain supporting the family and ensuring that those responsible face legal action.

‘Everyone Who Helped Nishu and Her Father Deserves Equal Credit’

Das, in his post, explicitly mentioned Nishu and her father Sanjay while appealing for equal appreciation of everybody who had assisted them.

According to him, every individual who had assisted the family needed equal appreciation and those who were supporting youth in “dangerous times” needed appreciation as well.
The gist of his message was to ensure that no dispute occurs within the supporters and their focus is on the case.

‘Goons Are Yet to Be Arrested’

Das also pointed to what he described as the unfinished nature of the case.
He said that, according to the Delhi Police, the alleged perpetrators had still not been arrested. He further said that the chargesheet and trial were still pending.

Calling it a “long road ahead”, Das urged people to remain united and focused rather than allowing the discussion to shift towards competing claims of credit.

Das Questions Possible Political Influence

Towards the end of his post, Das raised a separate political question, asking whether BJP ministers had used their influence to illegally secure the release of the accused.
He framed this as a question for public scrutiny while arguing that the focus should remain on accountability and justice.

The allegation was presented by Das as a question, rather than established fact.

FIR Against Swatantra Bharadwaj Adds Another Layer to the Controversy

The FIR against Swatantra Bharadwaj has added another dimension to the wider dispute. Against this backdrop, Das’s statement appears aimed at discouraging supporters from turning the issue into an argument over which individual or organisation played the biggest role.

His message was that the case should remain centred on the people seeking justice, the investigation and the legal process.

Das ended his post with a call for unity, stressing that the legal battle is far from over.
