Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has now clarified her controversial remark ‘gutter’ about young people, said that she was only targeting specific section and not the entire youth population. BJP MP Kangana Ranaut clarified her controversial ‘gutter’ remark targeted specific youth, not the entire generation, linking it to those identifying as ‘cockroaches’. Discussions on drugs, betting, or the dark web among some young people triggered the comments, leading to a legal case. She also criticized Rahul Gandhi.

Kangana Explains Her ‘Gutter’ Remark

Kangana clarified her comments and said that it was for the people who describe themselves as ‘cockroaches’. “If someone claims to be a cockroach, then naturally, they would live in a gutter,” she said while explaining her earlier comments.

She also said that she would reject this description if it is coming to her. “If someone were to say I live in a gutter, I would deny it. But if someone claims to be a cockroach, then naturally, they would live in a gutter. Where else?” she said.

‘I Did Not Say All Youth Belong In The Gutter’

Kangana said that discussions like drug use, betting, gambling, and the dark web among some young people should not be taken as criticism for entire generation.

“If some young people use drugs, or if we discuss the current trend of addiction involving drugs, betting, gambling or the dark web, addressing a specific segment of the youth doesn’t mean I was making a blanket statement about everyone,” she said.

“Did I say that all youth belong in the gutter? I specifically referred to some people or some women,” she added.

What Triggered The Controversy?

This comment has come at the time when Kangana criticised the people who were connected with Cockroach Janata Party protest and stated them as “Generation Gutter”. She also made comments about Hindu women and Gen-Z protesters triggered criticism and public exchange with CJP protestors.

The controversy didn’t just stop only to comment, as one legal case has filed against her. One Agra lawyer has filed a case against Kangana Ranaut over her “Generation Gutter”.

Ranaut Also Targets Rahul Gandhi

While addressing her latest comments, Kangana Ranaut also criticised opposition leader Rahul Gandhi over continuous disruptions in Parliament. “I feel he is making a mockery of the country. He constantly ridicules the nation; for him, everything is a joke,” she said, while accusing him of lacking propriety in Parliament.
