Salman Khan criticised paparazzi behaviour after a heated exchange outside Hinduja Hospital, then followed it with emotional Instagram posts accusing photographers of “enjoying someone’s pain.” The actor questioned whether getting images of celebrities was now more valuable than respecting human life and warned media workers against chasing photos when anyone is dealing with personal grief.

Salman Khan criticised paparazzi for aggressive behavior outside Hinduja Hospital and on Instagram, accusing them of exploiting grief and questioning the pursuit of photos over human dignity, mentioning his film Maatrubhumi.

Videos from 20 May 2026 showed Salman Khan visibly upset while standing near the hospital entrance, surrounded by cameras. Photographers had reportedly tracked the actor after spotting his car at a traffic signal, then followed him to Hinduja Hospital, where some started shouting “bhai bhai” as Salman Khan walked out, trying to grab attention.

Witnesses said Salman Khan first asked the paparazzi to remain quiet inside the hospital area. The actor allegedly asked photographers how they would feel if a member of their own family was admitted and cameras kept flashing. Salman Khan’s reaction quickly spread online, as several clips from the hospital premises went viral across social media platforms.

After leaving Hinduja Hospital, Salman Khan turned to Instagram and uploaded a series of selfies with long notes criticising paparazzi culture. In one post, Salman Khan urged followers and media alike, “Don’t enjoy someone’s pain.” The actor claimed there was a clear difference between reporting news and trying to benefit from another person’s difficult phase.

Responding to the viral hospital video, Salman Khan wrote that the press had always received support. Salman Khan posted, “If I see any press at a hospital enjoying my pain. The press that I have stood for, interacted with, taken care of, made sure that they also earn their bread n butter. But if they wanna make money from my losses… keep quiet don’t enjoy.”

In another Instagram update, Salman Khan referred to new film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace while again criticising the chase for images. The actor asked whether a picture carried more value than a person’s safety or feelings. Salman Khan also mentioned repeated cries of “bhai bhai” and questioned if constant shouting was needed when emotions were already strained.

Salman Khan also shared longer messages directed at photographers who, according to the actor, tried to take advantage of emotional moments. Salman Khan wrote, “I will burn a hundred like this. When a brother’s brother is in pain, try this with me next time. Just try it… When someone from your side is in hospital, will I react like this?” The actor challenged photographers to think about that situation.

Continuing the warning, Salman Khan added, “I am 60 years old but I have not forgotten to fight, remember this, you will be put in jail, haha.” On the work front, Salman Khan will next appear in war drama Maatrubhumi, earlier titled Battle of Galwan, and is also set to star with Nayanthara in director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju’s project, tentatively called SVC63.
