A 30-year old private school teacher was brutally stabbed to death by a masked attacker inside her school premises in Haryana’s Faridabad. The incident took place on Monday morning August 3 2026, which was clearly captured on school CCTV cameras.
On August 3, 2026, teacher Sandhya Karhana was fatally stabbed by a masked attacker inside Faridabad’s Saraswati Senior Secondary School; suspect Amit, 21, an alleged stalker, was arrested, and CCTV footage captured the incident.
The victim, identified as Sandhya Karhana, was a mother of two and taught Class 2 at the Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona village, Faridabad. Around 9:30 AM, an attacker entered the school building with his face covered with a white cloth, leaving only his eyes visible. According to police reports and CCTV footage, the man waited in the school lobby for a short period. He requested school staff members to inform Sandhya that a person named “Vicky” was there to meet her. As soon as Sandhya stepped out of her classroom into the corridor, the attacker grabbed her by the neck and forcefully dragged her to the ground.
In an attack that lasted less than a minute, the attacker pulled out a sharp knife and began stabbing the teacher repeatedly. CCTV recordings show that the assailant stabbed Sandhya for many times, targeting her face, neck, and chest in quick succession. The school administrator, who was sitting inside his office, rushed out to the corridor after hearing loud screams. He witnessed the violent act and attempted to save the teacher. However, the masked killer turned around and threatened the administrator, keeping bystanders and other school staff at bay. After ensuring the victim had collapsed, the attacker quickly fled the campus on a motorcycle that did not have a registration plate.
School official immediately took heavily bleeding Sandhya to the nearby Al Falah Hospital. Medical professionals at the hospital declared her dead upon arrival due to severe trauma and blood loss. for physical evidence Local police and forensic investigators arrived at the crime scene shortly after to gather physical evidence and review the security footage.
The police identified the arrested suspect as 21-year-old Amit, a resident of Kot village. Authorities revealed that Amit was an alleged stalker who had previously been accused of harassing the school teacher. A formal murder case has been registered, and the local police are conducting further investigations into the systematic security lapse at the private institution.
At the time of his arrest, he was still wearing blood-stained clothes.
