R Madhavan’s new movie GDN has opened to highly positive reviews from the critics and netizens.
The Tamil movie, based on Tamil Nadu’s industrial pioneer Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu, has hit the screens today (August 7). It also has Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Vinay Rai, Thambi Ramaiah, Nandalal, TeeJay Arunasalam, Sheela, Karunakaran, Muralidaran, Aditi Balan, Mohan Raman, Kaniha, Ramesh Tilak, Carl Andrew Harte, Richard Bhakti Klein and others in the cast.
Released August 7, the Tamil film ‘GDN’ stars R Madhavan as industrial pioneer G.D. Naidu, exploring the life of the ‘Edison of India’ and his significant innovations. Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, the critically acclaimed biopic highlights Naidu’s journey.
Krishnakumar Ramakumar has written and directed GDN which has the music of Govind Vasantha. The story of the movie is centered around the life and achievements of GD Naidu who transformed imported technologies into practical and affordable innovations for India.
GDN is credited with the manufacture of the first electric motor in India.
