US President Donald Trump has accused Iran of killing more than 100,000 protesters, while calling the country a “Failed Nation” and dismissed opposing reports as “BULLS**T.” His remarks came after a few hours of US forces struck two Iranian launch systems on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz, marking the first known American attack on Iran since July end.
Amid rising tensions, President Trump labeled Iran a “Failed Nation” and alleged over 100,000 protester deaths following US strikes on Iranian launch systems near the Strait of Hormuz; Iran’s IRGC reportedly retaliated against US bases in Jordan.
Trump Makes Strong Claims Against Iran
“Iran is officially a Failed Nation. IT IS DEAD! They have no Navy, they have no Air Force, they have no currency, they are not paying their soldiers or police, Inflation is at 300%, and their leadership is in total disarray and incapable of properly representing the country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He also made allegations on Iran saying that more than 100,000 people killed during the protests.
“The only thing they have is FAKE NEWS from the USA, a willingness to kill their protesters (now over 100,000 people dead. They must be tried for war crimes against humanity!), and a good line of “BULLS**T.” Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J.TRUMP,” Trump added.
However, the figure US president mentioned is not been verified and established.
Why Did the US Strike Larak Island?
A US official confirmed American forces struck two Iranian launchers after Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps personnel were seen observed preparing to launch rockets carrying sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz. However, US central Command mentioned the action as “limited, precise” strikes against forces posing an “imminent threat.”
Larak Island lies near the entrance of Strait of Hormuz, making it important for maritime security and global energy supplies.
Iran Retaliates Against US Bases in Jordan
Iran’s IRGC also responded by launching ballistic missiles at two US bases in Jordan, King Hussein and Al-Azraq. WHile Jordanian authorities said that they intercepted eight missiles entering their airspace.
