The flight landed at Lucknow airport at around 4.05 pm, about eight minutes before its scheduled arrival time.

After landing, the aircraft was taken out of service for a detailed technical inspection. A team of engineers is examining the aircraft, including the area reportedly damaged by the lightning strike.

The aircraft will only be allowed to return to service after the necessary technical checks and regulatory clearance. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also been informed about the incident.

Passengers Continue Journey To Ahmedabad

To avoid further disruption, IndiGo arranged another aircraft for the affected passengers.
The passengers resumed their journey to Ahmedabad on the replacement aircraft, which departed at around 6.22 pm.

The incident caused no reported injuries, and the airline is awaiting the completion of the technical inspection before deciding when the aircraft involved in the lightning strike can return to operations.

What Happened To IndiGo Flight 6E925?

According to the initial information available, Flight 6E925 was flying from Patna to Ahmedabad when it was struck by lightning at approximately 17,000 feet.

Lightning strikes involving aircraft can occur during flight, particularly when aircraft operate near thunderstorms. Commercial aircraft are designed with safety measures to handle such events, but airlines conduct inspections after a suspected lightning strike to check for any damage before allowing the aircraft to fly again.
