Chhattisgarh’s traditional Kosa silk and handloom products are set to receive a new identity with the launch of ‘Koshal Fab’. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched the premium brand on the occasion of National Handloom Day, marking a significant step towards taking the state’s traditional handloom products to national and international markets. The initiative aims to connect the traditional craftsmanship of Chhattisgarh’s weavers, particularly artisans from tribal regions, with contemporary designs, improved packaging and organised marketing.

Kosa silk has been traditionally woven on the looms of Chhattisgarh for generations and is known for its distinctive craftsmanship. Through ‘Koshal Fab’, the traditional product will be presented in a format suited to modern markets, with emphasis on design, packaging and organised marketing.
