Punjabi pop singer Yo Yo Honey Singh has been given another deadline to appear before Maharashtra Cyber Police, with the investigating agency summoning him for questioning on October 16 in a case related to allegedly objectionable remarks at a concert.

Maharashtra Cyber Police has summoned Punjabi singer Yo Yo Honey Singh for questioning on October 16 regarding alleged objectionable remarks made at a concert, warning a Look Out Circular may be issued if he fails to appear after missing previous notices.
This follows Singh reportedly missing three earlier summonses issued by the agency. He was asked to appear on October 5, 2026, but reportedly told officials that he was overseas and could not attend.

Why is Maharashtra Cyber wanting to question Honey Singh?
The case is related to a complaint that alleges that Singh made objectionable remarks while performing on live. Maharashtra Cyber Police began investigating the matter to establish the facts and assess the allegations.
Officials are seeking to question the singer on the incident and get his version about the remarks. Investigators may also look at recordings and other material related to the performance as part of the inquiry.
The allegations stated in the complaint have not yet been proven, and the investigation is continuing.
Another missed summons could lead to LOC proceedings
With October 16 set as the next date for questioning, the agency is seeking to get Singh in front of them before considering taking further steps.
A senior official said that the police could begin the process for an LOC if the singer failed to respond to the latest summons. This may be used to alert immigration authorities about a person in relation to cases that meet the applicable legal and procedural requirements.
Whether the agency would take such action would depend on the circumstances and procedures.
